Design Our Digital Home.

Kamet Canvas is a community design sprint. We are seeking creative designers (as usual amateurs including) to architect the future of the Kamet Centre's digital experience.

The Deliverables

Design a mobile-first UI/UX prototype encompassing three core community pillars. No coding required: submit interactive prototypes via Figma, Penpot, or your preferred design software (P.S. We would love to see the pen-paper drawings but please atlease use AI to convert them to digital images).

1. The Home Page

The "Heart" of Kamet. Must feature a compelling hero statement, a dynamic community snapshot, and clear navigation.

2. Events & Registrations

The "Action" hub. An organized feed of upcoming activities with intuitive, mobile-optimized registration flows and participation trackers. It should be scalable with the latest activities added on the top and the oldest at the bottom. Also, each activity must feature a "REGISTER" button, form not required.

3. Galleries

The "Bond" archive. A responsive, grid-based visual storytelling space to showcase meetups, workshops, and shared community experiences.

Competition Rules

  • 1
Mobile-First Architecture The design must prioritize mobile phones. Desktop layouts must be clean, but evaluation heavily weights mobile responsiveness and thumb-zone navigation.
  • 2
AI Usage Accountability Full AI utilization is permitted. However, teams are strictly responsible for their AI's output. Broken layouts or non-functional layers generated by AI will result in severe point deductions.
  • 3
Software Flexibility Use any design software. Open-source alternatives like Penpot are highly encouraged alongside industry standards like Figma or Adobe XD.
  • 4
IP Rights & Deployment Kamet Centre retains the rights to host, alter, and deploy the winning website. The winning team will be permanently credited on the live site.

Crucial: Anonymity & Voting Protocol

The final outcome is decided entirely by a Community Vote. To eliminate bias and ensure fairness, all prototypes will be evaluated anonymously.

  • You must choose a unique Team Name upon registration.
  • Your submitted UI prototype must ONLY display your Team Name.
  • Do not include your actual names anywhere in the design file.
  • Credit Requirement: Design a space in the anywhere on the website as per your preference for creator attribution. You must use placeholder text (e.g., Designed by [Team Member Names]). The real names will be injected into the final hosted website on deployment.
